Why is it so effortless to audiate while sleeping? I wish there was some way to tap even a fraction of that potential during waking hours. The brain has the potential to be spontaneously and hugely creative during sleep. Maybe brainwave generators will help but I don't know if I believe in that stuff. Is this the wrong part of the forum...probably, but I felt this needed to be brought up.

I wish I knew! Some of the fullest, clearest symphonies I've experienced in my brain have been in the mid-state between waking and dreaming.

Ive always thought that if one could master the technique of lucid dreaming and attempt to play music or listen to music while in their lucid dream that it would be one of the best ways of becoming a highly skilled musician, would be interesting...

Perhaps when you're asleep you can't tell how vague you're really being... then when you wake up, the brain fills in any blanks with hazy memories. Or perhaps it's because you've got no "filter" holding you back from doing your best. Kind of an Effortless Mastery kind of thing.
