Chordhopper: Bug with chord #26 (C major 7)

Post by YarnTSS » Tue Nov 12, 2019 2:58 am

In Chordhopper, I am currently at the level where chord #26 (C major 7, the pitchfork) starts appearing. If I play only with the keyboard, I am able to finish it. However, if I move the mouse cursor over the chord's icon, the game crashes with this message:

"An exception of class NilObjectException was not handled. The application must shut down."

I'm guessing some reference to the highlight graphic for this kind of chord (and potentially the other non-dominant 7 chords) is broken, since the highlight does not appear. (The highlight does work properly in the key remap window, however.)

Yes, that's undoubtedly what is going on. I apologize for that. (I'm glad that the keyboard is still working.) It's puzzling that the program wouldn't recognize the highlight for the hover, though, because it uses the same reference as does the key remap. I may be able to look into this... it's been a while since I dug into the code.
