Chris, I LOVE what you said in this article about objects not just 'sounding' like pitches, but BEING pitches. As I sit here I realize that my ring IS A and my mug IS D. My desk is all wood-colored, but its sound is a rainbow. Every object is a pitch, yet we have not been shown the need to naturally perceive or seek out this qualia.
