chordblast

Normally I play Chordhopper with my crummy little laptop speakers. Today I happened to hook them up to some decent 2.1 speakers, and suddenly the game became much harder-- not because of the timbre, but because the root tone of each chord seemed so "loud" that I was making chroma errors all over the place. CFA (flower), ACF (basketball), and FAC (ticket) all sounded like F-plus-some-other-noise; likewise the blues sounded like G-and-noise.

interesting, I actually have the opposite reaction. When I play the games I usually do much better If I have nice headphones or speakers compared to the crummy laptop speakers, the sounds are a lot clearer and easier to decipher for me.
